This reflects my time in west Texas at the beginning of Spring Break. Waking up to see the sun rise. Looking out over the open land (captured by James H. Evans - above - in a way that I could never hope to capture a scene on a camera). Wondering what the day would hold. Aware of the past but not feeling like it was burdening me. Hopeful for the future. Along with the memories and pictures, I've carried this back with me to Austin. Now to make sure it clings to me like the dust from those roads is clinging to my car.
