T3 proved today that being an endurance athlete is about more than being able to cover long distances. Being an endurance athlete means that one endures...hardships, obstacles, rain, wind, setbacks, curve balls, tumbles, and the distances, too. From encouraging one on yet another day with adverse weather conditions to stopping to care for a fallen teammate, T3's endurance athletes were at their finest today. And we were also helped by the kindness of perfect strangers. Like a woman named Debbie who offered her blanket, her time, her car, and her genuine concern today when we were in need of some help. (Heal quickly, Logan!) What a wonderful reminder that there are angels out there in the world. Some angels who we know...and others who we don't. And both sorts make life more sweet.
"Angels are here to show us our possibilities. They are here to let us know we haven't been forgotten. They are here to extend a hand to us whether we need a lift or not. They are here to re-acquaint us with everything wonderful about living. They are here as a gift."
Thanks be to God for angels, for keeping us safe on the road, and for protecting us when we do fall...reminding us all of just how precious our lives are.
